Just as the title says, I've tried everything I know to meet someone but for whatever reason, it seems like the cards are stacked against me. The ones that catch my eye seem to all have wives or girlfriends and the ones who actually have the balls to come speak to me? Well, I'm not even going there, but for one, I do not want to date someone as old as my father...or grandfather...or hell, great-grandfather (jk)-lol. So a little about me: I'm 36, in extremely good shape, 5'6", short hair (that one is a deal-breaker for some--shallow!), was told Saturday 4 different times I was "hot", 2 great kids but no ex drama (we're actually friends--unheard of, I know), great job, nice car, college educated, full of life, and an all-around great and fun person to be around. So why am I single? Well, the answer is simple and comes in two parts: 1. some men cheat and that is one thing I will not deal with and 2. Although very outgoing, confident, and spunky personalitied, I cannot approach men. I freeze and this overwhelming fear consumes me instantaneously. Seriously guys, I would rather have my leg cut off as to have to go speak first. Maybe that's revealing some vulnerability, but it is what it is. I've tried--I just can't. What am I looking for? Well, I am a little picky, not because I'm shallow, but let's face it...there has to be attraction there in order to feel that initial "spark" and I just know what traits I am attracted to most. First, I love a man with a goatee or the scruffy look (yet somehow you guys keep it trimmed and somewhat maintained--weird, but so sexy). I also like my men taller than me, 5'10" +. Fellas, what this translates to is you must be in great shape. I tend to gravitate more towards muscular men (I love to feel safe in their arms--it's amazing). So if you're "too lean", it might be an issue--but then again it might not..at least have some definition to your frame. I would never ask someone to do something I have not done or do not do myself, but one thing I know is that I am a very physiy active individual, so please be as well. I also like a dominant man--notice I said dominant, not domineering. If you don't know the difference, please do your research. I am an alpha-female through and through, but with my man, soft and tender. I'm not looking to play games so if you're married or attached to someone else in any way, shape, fashion, or form, please do not waste my time nor yours by responding. If you are not self-supporting (roommate situations are okay--living with parents, not so much), I'm not the one for you. I take care of my own and am looking for a man to spend time with--*note this differs from "boy".
